The project SET-DEV is coordinated by the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and participated by a consortium of 11 partners from India, Kenya and Europe.
SET-DEV aims to support the research systems and to encourage the socialisation of scientific and technological research in India and Kenya. Within the term of socialization, the project involves the social dynamics and processes that are part of scientific and technological research, including various operational and cognitive aspects, which in turn include a wide range of cultural and ethical issues.
The project SET-DEV will execute a series of activities through study coordination, capacity building, training and awareness raising initiatives. Have a look at our project leaflet here.

SET-DEV Conference on "Privacy Law, Technology Policy and the Internet"

Sociology meets Technology Law in this first national conference to be organised in India on the theme of “Privacy Law, Technology Policy and the Internet”. It is only relatively recently that constitutional law in some countries has explicitly recognised the right of the individual to the free development of his or her personality.
